Aggregation/coloration tests. The black layer is used to connect between the components. It's unclear how the flesh/nodule level can be re-introduced. At this point I felt that I was losing control of the geometry, as well as a loss of hierarchy within the components.
Re-establishing cellular components
Reversing the topological hierarchy of a typical cell. Flesh/nodule level becomes structure, while hard outershell become nucleus.
